"Typically when a distiller bottles his whiskey, several hundred or even several thousand barrels are combined for a staunchly uniform taste. And the way we see it, we want you to be able to trust what's in the bottle, without sacrificing character. So each week we produce about 5 minutes worth of production made at some of the mass producing distilleries. We select ten to twenty of our choicest barrels, and combine them for a small batch with a reliable, yet distinctive flavor unique to Stranahan's Colorado Whiskey." —producer

"This 100% malted barley spent two years in new charred oak and boasts an amber color, sweet caramel scent with a touch of coconut and juicy apple, and relatively dry flavors. What sets this whiskey apart is the remarkable deep cocoa and pronounced coffee finish and velvety, creamy mouthfeel, reminiscent of ice cream and root beer foam. An alcohol sting cuts through, but should temper over ice nicely." —Kara Newman, Wine Enthusiast Magazine

Ommegang Three Philosophers Quadrupel Ale

20434
"Three Philosophers is a unique blend of a Belgian-style dark ale and Liefmans Kriek, an authentic cherry ale from Belgium. Cherry chestnut in color, it's opaque but not cloudy with full carbonation topped by a smooth, tan head. Flavors and aromas of roasted malt, molasses and brown sugar, dark fruits, brandied raisins, and chocolate, Three Philosophers has notable sweetness with low hop bitterness. The mid-palate shows a soft malt center which gives way to a dry, warm, wine-like finish. The complexity of this beer makes it a good candidate for ageing gracefully, as spicy sherry and port notes should intensify." —brewer

Stranahan's Blue Peak Colorado Whiskey

40009
"Named for a 13-thousand-foot peak in Aspen and inspired by the alpine scenery of the Rocky Mountains, Blue Peak is built around a small batch of single malt whiskey that has been hand-crafted at a high altitude and aged for 4 years in 53-gallon, new American oak barrels with a #3 char, imbuing a warm, toasted flavor. The profile of the aged expression is expanded through the time-honored Solera process, accentuating the liquid with fruit and butterscotch characteristics. Enjoy neat, on the rocks, or in your favorite classic whiskey cocktail." —producer
