Chateau Pesquie Ventoux Terrasses 2021

Size: 750ml

Jeb Dunnuck: 90, Jeb Dunnuck: 92

"Profoundly anchored in the Ventoux terroir, Grenache and Syrah express themselves here, with brilliance, indulgence and suppleness. A deep ruby color and an intense nose with spicy notes (especially black pepper) and red berries. This very balanced wine offers very round tannins and fresh berries aromas, with some floral and spicy flavors." —winemaker

"A rough blend of 60% Grenache and 40% Syrah (there are a few other varieties in there), the 2021 Ventoux Terrasses offers a juicy Grenache nose of ripe red and black berries, peppery herbs, and violets, with some chalky minerality that comes through on the palate. Medium-bodied, lively, and fresh, with good density, it delivers ripe tannins and a great finish. It should easily be an outstanding wine." —Jeb Dunnuck

"Bright straw yellow color. It presents intense aromas of fruit and flowers to the nose, with very clear mineral notes, intense and persistent. On the palate it shows a good structure and a pleasant freshness, with ripen fruit and sapid hints." —winemaker

Chateau Lassus 2016 Size: 750ml

"The winery was mentioned in the first edition of « Bordeaux Et Ses Vins » edited by Charles Cocks in 1850. This time it was owned by P. Brion. In the fifth edition of the guide in 1886 the winery appeared under its current name, Château Lassus. In 1932 Château Lassus was awarded Cru Bourgeois status for its Medocian wine. The estate was bought by the Paeffgen family in 2010 who have realized large investments since to help the cru maintain its renowned status. The quality focus is realized by sustainable efforts in the vineyards, a strong selection process upfront harvest as well as during processing of the berries and finally by the maturing of the wine in selected French oak barrels (barriques). As such the potential of the exceptional terroir and the old vines with reduced yields is converted in a Médocwine with elegant finesse, clarity in the fruit expression, complexity of aroma and taste with a smooth tannin structure. Remaining a typical Medoc-wine, Château Lassus has a significant aging potential." —winemaker

"Having begun our venture in the Blaye region with Chateau Puynard in 2016, just five years on we received the keys to Chateau Magdeleine Bouhou In January 2021. Having admired the terroir here for some time, we set our sights on broadening our offering by adding another Blaye vineyard, but which offered a slightly different terroir and aspect to that of Puynard. Both vineyards have their own character, and we feel with both properties together, we have a strong offering that showcases the Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux appellation very well." —winemaker
