"Knob Creek Rye is patiently aged for seven years in deeply charred barrels and bottled at 100 proof to give it the signature Knob Creek full flavor. At seven years, Knob Creek Rye achieves its optimal flavor profile resulting in the perfect balance between sweet barrel notes and spicy rye character. Its high corn mashbill makes it perfect for the bourbon drinker looking to add a rye to their liquor cabinet." —producer
We are excited to introduce the fourth release from a special program graciously offered by the master distillers at the Knob Creek distillery in Clermont, Kentucky. Through their Single Barrel Select Experience, we tasted through a selection of single-barrel Knob Creek bourbons and selected our favorite, which the distillery then bottled. The result is our very own Wine Anthology bottling of a single barrel of Knob Creek bourbon! Whereas Knob Creek's normal straight bourbon whiskey bottling is a blend of whiskies from several barrels, this unique bottling comes from a single cask and shows off a different side of the signature Knob Creek style.
"Distinctive and pronounced, Dave Phinney’s house Bourbon. Mature yet lively and loaded with character. Aromas of orange peel and honey mingle with toasty oak and caramel notes that are consistent through the palate. Lush and complex, gorgeous start to finish." —producer
"This Kentucky Bourbon pays tribute to the earliest days of the Distillery's history when in 1939 it released Heaven Hill Bottled-in-Bond. The namesake brand quickly became the number-one-selling Bourbon whiskey in the state of Kentucky. Still today, the craftsmanship poured into this bottle by the same founding family meets the exacting standards first set forth in the Bottled-in-Bond act of 1897.
"Golden amber in color with warm notes of vanilla, honey, and a rich caramel sweetness on the nose. Smooth, warm and sweet with a subtle rye spice note; caramel and honey mingle with just enough oak and char to round out the richness. Long and lingering on the finish." —producer
"The Nelson Bros. Classic Bourbon has aromas of spice cake, cherry, milk chocolate, vanilla and baked apple. On the palate, there are notes of banana bread, cocoa, cherry, dried pineapple. The finish brings black peppercorn, spearmint, lemon peel and sweet tobacco." —producer
"Created with choice heartland grown corn, limestone purified water, the freshest rye and barley available. Aged no less than two years in perfectly charred oak barrels, our premier whiskey boasts a warm nose and a smooth and crisp finish." —producer
"During the 1970s and 1980s, Michter’s Original Sour Mash Whiskey was the distillery’s single most popular product. While the “Sour Mash” moniker originated from the whiskey production process of the same name – whereby some previously fermented mash is used as the starter for the new mash to be fermented, much like making sourdough bread – Michter’s Original Sour Mash earned distinction for its unique taste. With its unique grain selection, it cannot be categorized as a rye or a bourbon. After disappearing from the market in 1989, Michter’s Original Sour Mash Whiskey made a triumphant return in 2012 with its introduction into the US 1 line. Staying true to the profile and palate of its predecessor, Michter’s US 1 Sour Mash has quickly become a favorite of whiskey enthusiasts." —producer
"Just like Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey and Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel, Gentleman Jack is charcoal mellowed before going into the barrel. Gentleman Jack, however, receives an additional “blessing” when it is charcoal mellowed again after reaching maturity – making it the only whiskey in the world to be charcoal mellowed twice, giving it ultimate smoothness. Gentleman Jack is full-bodied with fruit and spices, and its finish is silky, warm, and pleasant. When you drink Gentleman Jack, you’ll always enjoy rich, rewarding taste." —producer
"Rowan's Creek bourbon is aged in new charred oak barrels and is hand-bottled. This boutique bourbon is still made in small lots, batch-by-batch. Rowan's Creek takes its namesake from the creek that runs directly through the distillery. This creek still carries the best limestone spring water that is essential for making good bourbon. Starts out with great spicy, minty notes and when water is added the nose makes you want to set up a tent in the woods! Classic caramel and vanilla notes shine on the palate with light cedar and more mint notes prevailing at the end." —producer
"Delivers unparalleled richness and complexity, thanks to ten years of meticulous aging. Savor the pronounced flavors of char, oak, and caramel in every sip of this masterfully crafted rye whiskey." —producer
"Pursuing victory means never cutting corners or taking the easy route. Never settling for anything less than exceptional. It’s an ethos we apply to raising champion thoroughbreds in the heart of Kentucky, and it’s how we approach our bourbon – from the ingredients we source and the people we work with, to the communities we impact. That’s why when we set out to create our Founder’s Edition Kentucky Straight Bourbon, quality was the only thing that mattered. Handcrafted in small batches, our high-wheat mash bill bourbon is aged for a minimum of five years to create a distinctively smooth and sweet profile. Enjoy neat, on the rocks, or as a tasteful component of a classic cocktail." —producer
"Aromas of baked apple, honey drizzled over fresh fig, lavender graham cracker, overnight oat groats with peaches and cream, dried white daisies, cinnamon stick, and tobacco in a private study. Flavors of banana bread with vanilla glaze, warm granola with dried fruit, frangipane tart, charred lemon peel, lemon poundcake with crushed golden raspberries served on a cedar plank. Finishes with notes of raw honey, toasted almond, marzipan, and baking spice." —producer
"The nose opens with sweet oak that is accented with orange zest and cedar. Aromas of tobacco and herbs soon join. The first sip leads with a honey sweetness before swiftly shifting to cinnamon and spicy oak. Another sip adds leather for an earthy balance while displaying an amazing body. The finish continues to celebrate the viscous mouthfeel with notes of sweet, toasted oak and dry cocoa." —producer

"Robust and confident. Our 100% Rye Kentucky Straight Whiskey is finished in Pauillac barrels. On the palate, it shows a generous volume with smoked nuts and a pleasant well – integrated wood finish." —producer
"Sophisticated and balanced. Our 100% Rye Kentucky Straight Whiskey is finished in Sauternes barrels. It has a deep amber color and a rich, fragrant nose with perfectly balanced honeyed vanilla notes, caramel, and apricot hints. "There’s no faking full bourbon flavor. It has to be earned. So that’s what we do in Clermont: we earn it. We start by selecting the finest grains. And we finish by meticulously aging our whiskey in white oak barrels with maximum char, for an unmistakable richness and signature sweetness. It’s the natural way. And there’s just no cheating nature." —producer
"New Riff Malted Rye is elegant. Graceful. It presents plenty of spice but in a much more sophisticated fashion than our standard 95% rye. It actually makes more sense to us to think of it as a malted whiskey first, and a rye whiskey second. Nose of savory, floral fruit, powdered sugar, balanced oak and vanilla fruits (plum skin, pear), everything complex and layered. Plump, rounded medium-full palate; finely dovetailed elegant spices; saltwater taffy, fruits, clove, and an interesting toasty-malty note. Finish features focused spice with clove and pink peppercorn. Elegant and refined." —producer
"The newest addition to our family of American Whiskeys. Heigold is a Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey made with a high percentage of rye. It lures you in with a beautiful aroma of toasted malt and warm baking spices. On the palate, Heigold opens with silky butterscotch and hints of bright citrus finishing with a thrilling crescendo of pepper spice. While great neat or on the rocks, a high proof of 95 allows Heigold’s bold flavors to shine in any cocktail." —producer
