"The NV Grand Cru is a blend of Grand Crus, dominated by Chardonnay and enriched by Pinot Noir. The original intent behind this vintage is typically “Champenois”: to create a consensual aperitif showcasing the different terroirs and grape varieties of Champagne, all enhanced by the Collery style." —winemaker
"Taittinger Brut La Française is composed of Chardonnay (40%) and Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier (60%) from over 35 different crus and various harvests matured to perfection. This high proportion of Chardonnay, unique among the fine non-vintage Champagnes, and a minimum ageing of three years in the cellar where it reaches full aromatic maturity, make Taittinger Brut La Française a delicately balanced Champagne known for its consistent quality acclaimed worldwide. It is the pride of Champagne Taittinger to produce such an exceptional non-vintage Brut." —winemaker
"The wine comes from the purest grape juice and it alone allows Laurent-Perrier to craft ‘La Cuvée’, a champagne of great finesse and a beautiful freshness obtained after a long ageing process in our cellars. Laurent-Perrier’s style and personality are defined by its very high proportion of Chardonnay. Purity, freshness and elegance – essential characteristics, expressed in this champagne – are a good introduction to the spirit of the House." —winemaker
"Lovely golden yellow, very champagne-like, hue. Dense and steady flow of extremely fine bubbles. Deep, broad bouquet of ripe fruit (wild peaches, William pears) combined with citrus (lemons, blood oranges). The iodized and smoky notes, associated with the autolysis and the ageing in wood, add aromatic freshness. Then come notes of chalk and a hint of reduction, suggesting that the wine will be concentrated and powerful. The entry to the palate is delicious showing a rich and robust texture. There is a very juicy and concentrated sensation as if you were biting into a ripe fruit. The substance is caressingly soft, coating the palate but is then immediately lightened by the delicate bubbles. The length is created by a lovely backbone of chalky freshness. The wine is both delectably rich, with a slightly roasted character, and super fresh thanks to a salivating finish. The smoky notes then take over to underpin a very flavorsome finish." —winemaker
"Golden yellow hue with a hint of green and a fine mousse. Fine nose that is fresh, elegant, and floral. Fresh and balanced palate; hazelnut, quince paste in the long finish. An elegant wine." —winemaker
"The Brut A03 by Christian Gosset is aromatic and expressive on the nose, reminiscent of pear, citrus peel, flowers, bread, and aniseed. On the palate, the attack is frank and balanced, with a very long, vinous finish. A creamy mousse and food-friendly acidity are complemented by minerality and salinity on the finish." —winemaker
"This wine stands out for its elegance, tension and energy. The first impression is of its tension, verticality and minerality, after which the wine unfolds its aromas of toast, roasted coffee beans and praline. The excellent structure makes this a fine, upstanding vintage." —winemaker
"Our non-vintage rosé is the end result of a desire to create a rosé champagne with a delightfully luscious, fruit-based charm. Jacques Péters, the cellarmaster, and his team wanted a champagne that would be accessible and naturally engaging while conserving Veuve Clicquot's essential values in terms of style. Veuve Clicquot Brut Rosé offers the eye radiant colour, its nose is intense and elegant. Notes of raspberry, wild strawberry and cherry predominate, followed by a touch of dried fruits and pastry. In the mouth, the attack is powerful, leaving behind a harmony of fruits. Elegant and sensual, the wine offers exceptional balance and surprising intensity." —winemaker
"Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut is a melting pot of aromas and flavours – a wonderfully rounded, generous champagne whose joie de vivre makes every moment more special. Silvery gold in the glass, this vibrant and stylish cuvée features floral aromas, rounded out by fresh fruit and hints of buttery brioche and vanilla. Crisp and light on the palate, it combines freshness with a lingeringly rich and generous finish." —winemaker
Blend: Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay
Wine Anthology review: The Grand Brut is the perfect introduction to Perrier-Jouët's range, featuring the House's signature Chardonnay-driven character at a great price. Although Grand Brut is a non-vintage blend, Perrier-Jouët ages this Champagne for three years in its chalk cellars underneath the estate so that all the individual components come together before release. This is a wonderfully balanced Champagne with notes of poached pear, grilled pineapple, apricot nectar, and honey that dance with toasted brioche and smoke, closing with a silky finish.
