"Crafted to honor the repeal of Prohibition in 1933, Remus Repeal Reserve Series VIII continues the high-quality legacy of The King of the Bootleggers, George Remus, who was widely known for supplying the finest bourbons of the Roaring 20s. Building on this tradition, Ross & Squibb Master Distiller Ian Stirsman and the highly experienced blending team included a greater proportion of the high-rye bourbon than in past editions. This year's offering includes 9% of a 17-year-aged bourbon containing 21% rye; 24% of a 10-year-aged bourbon comprising 21% rye, and 67% of a second 10-year-aged bourbon containing 36% rye. The unique medley of extra-aged bourbon gives Remus Repeal Reserve Series VIII an aroma of cherry, candied pecans and hint of leather on the nose; flavors of maple syrup and cherry followed by fig, and a finish featuring vanilla and oak with lingering notes of baking spice." —producer

"The Chivas Regal Gold Signature blend has been created for its opulent richness, from whiskies matured for at least 18 years. Chivas Brothers' Master Blender Colin Scott has hand-selected the casks for this very special blend. In recognition of this, Colin Scott's initials appear on every bottle of Chivas Regal Gold Signature. The Chivas Regal Lion symbolizes Chivas Brothers' pride in this superb whisky. For over 100 years Chivas Brothers has owned a remarkable wealth of whisky stocks. From these thousands of casks maturing deep in Scottish hills, only a few of the richest are set aside for Chivas Regal Gold Signature. A welcoming, rewarding whisky. Exceptional richness with multi-layered aromas of buttery toffee, dark chocolate and dried fruits. Hints of spices and smoke. The sumptuous, velvety palate develops into an extremely long, warm finish." —producer

"The Japanese dragon is a powerful being that controls water and rains. They are believed to bring luck and symbolize power, strength, and authority, and are much more human and demonstrate human emotions and experiences. Ryūjin, the deity of the sea in Japanese myths, is one of the most important of all Japanese dragons. He represents the power of the ocean and was a patron of Japan. Considering that the sea and seafood are important for Japanese livelihood, Ryūjin plays a significant role in Japanese culture and history, and is believed to be one of the forefathers of the Japanese imperial dynasty. Recognizing the most significant dragon in Japanese culture gave rise to the bold and vibrant flavors of the Ryūjin whiskey. Fruity and floral notes throughout the taste, with honey, orange peel, and white chocolate flavors. Mellow finish with a hint of oak." —producer

"This is a single malt from the Miyagikyo distillery, Nikka's second distillery built in 1969. The founder Masataka Taketsuru chose this site in the mountains of Sendai to contrast with his first distillery, Yoichi, located in the coastal area. Using less peaty malt and distilled in a pot still heated by indirect steam, Miyagikyo single malt has an elegant fruitiness and a distinctive aroma with a strong Sherry cask influence." —producer
