"This wine offers toasted bread aromas and notes of honey. On the palate, it is has a good, strong structure." —winemaker |
Critical Acclaim | |||
"Here the nose is aromatically similar to the Narvaux but with more floral influences. There is notably better volume to the richer and fleshier medium-bodied flavors that are overly saline, which adds a sense of lift to the clean, dry and linear finish. Lovely stuff." —Burghound "The 2018 Meursault Les Charmes-Dessus 1er Cru has a harmonious nose with scents of lime, lemon zest, melted candle wax and grilled walnuts, the latter becoming more pronounced with aeration. The palate is well balanced with a spicy opening. Good weight in the mouth, maybe missing the tension of other vintages blessed with cooler summers. The dab of lemongrass towards the finish livens things up. Drink over the next decade." —Vinous |
