"Aveleda is produced in our winery with grapes from the Vinho Verde region — the most extensive in Portugal. The careful temperature control during the winemaking process produces a wine that is slightly citrine in color, clear and bright. Its gentle and fruity aroma gives it a smooth, delicate flavor." —winemaker

"The fruit is from 10 hectares of various vineyards on the Felici farm, from 10- to 40-year-old vines. The vineyards are between 500 and 600m above sea level; Leo's vineyard site at 600m is the highest in the appellation. Harvest was in late September/early October at yields of 11,000kg/ha (about 60hl/ha). Fermentation is in concrete vats and stainless steel tanks. About half the harvest is macerated a few days on the skins during fermentation. Malolactic fermentation does not take place. Aged on its lees for 6 to 12 months, with six staggered bottlings taking place." —winemaker

"The Sauvignon Blanc fermented in a combination of stainless steel tanks, concrete eggs and old barrels. The wine spends four months in these vessels before being bottled, followed by a further two months in bottle prior to release. Flavours of yellow fruit and citrus with lovely mineral tension and a fresh saline finish. While Salt River Sauvignon Blanc will age beautifully in bottle over the next few years, the idea is to pull the cork and enjoy." —winemaker
