"Siduri explores two exceptional areas within Santa Barbara County that are exceptionally well - suited for growing Pinot Noir - Santa Maria Valley and the Sta. Rita Hills. Pinot Noirs from the Santa Maria Valley provide "crunchy" fresh fruits that are laden with spice notes, while Pinot Noirs from the Sta. Rita Hills provide opulent red and black fruits that jump from the glass with tremendous energy. The marriage of these two distinctive growing areas provides a portrait of a beautiful place to grow cool - climate Pinot Noir." —winemaker
"At this early stage the aromatics show a generous number of dark fruits like cherry, black plum and pomegranate concentrate, with a buried treasure chest of spices circling your senses. Then, it’s the palate that belies the true depth of this rich Pinot Noir. A delightful gallimaufry of Luxor cherries, red cranberry compote, strawberry leather, black currant, mission fig, and prickly pear jam is layered into spiced Sichuan peppercorn, petrichor, and Christmas spice. This wine has a most generous middle "sweetness," and depth that pipes into a long, rich, sanded tannin finish." —winemaker

The palate is rich, with refined silky tannins, medium acidity and flavors of cherry, red plums, raspberry and subtle notes of allspice on a long elegant finish." —winemaker

"The 2021 cuvée has the cranberry-like more tart fruit flavors that they always hope for in the Santa Cruz Mountains differentiating it from the more strawberry cola flavors of the North Coast and darker more blueberry flavors found further south. This is a maritime wine with acidity, lean, but not thin. There is just a touch of sweet richness from the 7% new oak." —winemaker
"The 2021 Siduri Willamette Valley Pinot Noir comes from vineyards in two distinctive appellations within the Willamette Valley: Yamhill-Carlton and Eola-Amity - plus a third vineyard in the Southern Willamette Valley, Maple Grove, that adds structure and richness. These three areas all bring different attributes to the blend and give us a broad range of flavors to blend to create a wine that is simultaneously rich and zippy–the best of all possible worlds. Aromas of blackberry, black tea and autumn mulch alongside flavors of cherry pit, licorice and espresso." —winemaker
"The aromatics instantly permeate the glass with rose petals, ripe red plums, cloves, and orange zest. "Estate grown Avni Pinot Noir is focused and concentrated with an overlying elegance and silky mouthfeel. The large proportion of complexly flavored, savory and mineral upper block fruit combines seamlessly with the rounder flavors of Pommard clone on Jory soils. Though the vineyard was still recovering from drought, the fruit quality was nearly perfect, as temperatures were moderate at harvest, and we avoided the later rains." —winemaker
