"The family de Malet Roquefort is installed at Saint Emilion since 1705. Owner of several vineyards (Bordeaux and Saint Emilion AOC) and the famous Chateau La Gaffelière, 1st Growth. They are proud of their roots and their “terroirs” diversity. The wines are well-known for their elegance. Comtesse de Malet Roquefort is mainly elaborated from the vineyards of the family. Clean, crisp, and juicy; fresh and racy; dry, smooth, and long." —importer
"Pale yellow color with green tints. The wine exhibits citrus aromas (lemon, grapefruit) with smoky notes. Fresh and very aromatic attack. The palate is round, with a great acidity (coming from the later ripening sites at higher altitude). A lot of freshness on the finish mixed with salty notes, which express the minerality of the wine." —winemaker
"Yellow gold, clear and brilliant. Freshness on the nose marked by the distinctive aromas of Viognier; white flowers, apricot, acacia and white peach. On the palate it is fruity with plenty of richness and body. A well-rounded wine with elegance, strength and balance." —winemaker
"Sourced from vineyards that surround the winery and fermented without oak to preserve the underlying expression of its classic terroir, this is Sauvignon Blanc as channeled through the unique prism of Bordeaux, offering the enhanced texture, elegance, and richness of body that are the region’s hallmarks. According to Jean Marc, part of that depth also results from the small touch of Sémillon (the region’s “other” white grape) he includes in the blend, which imparts a certain “je ne sais quoi” that immediately conjures white Bordeaux. With its cleansing freshness and acidity and flavors of citrus and melon, it’s a quintessential oyster wine, but has all the necessary structure to stand up to richer fish and shellfish dishes (think pan-seared trout or broiled lobster)." —importer
"Cuvée Centenaire takes its name from the 100-year-old vines of Grenache Blanc and Gris Jean-Marc Lafage farms just a few kilometers from the Mediterranean on gravelly clay soils. One of the greatest white wine values in our portfolio, the final wine blends these ancient grapes with up to 20% younger vine Roussanne. To make a rich and balanced wine, the grapes are harvested in two passes, the first when they just reach ripeness and are still high in acidity and a second pass when the grapes are fully ripe with rich fruit flavors. The wine is then aged in a combination of tank and new French oak barrels." —winemaker
"Mineral, the Centenaire cuvée offers a subtle symphony of aromas of citrus fruits, white-fleshed fruits and floral notes. Great length in the mouth." —winemaker
