"The color is red, dense, clean and brilliant, with garnet reflexes. A very scented and exuberant nose with a predominance of wild berry, blueberry, redcurrant, raspberry and notes that remind us of tangerine peel and bergamot blossom. In the mouth it is fresh and vibrant with a good tannic structure. Echoes of the aromas of wild berry as well as plums and a spicy finish. Flavorful and elegant." —winemaker
"This wine associates its quality to the name of the Carthusian [Cartuxos] monks who, between 1598 and 2019, led a solitary life of prayer in the Monastery of Santa Maria Scala Coeli. It is based on the most common varieties of Alentejo: Trincadeira, Aragonez, Alfrocheiro, Periquita, Moreto and Tinta Caiada. Aged in oak wood, it is a wine with good structure, elegant and combining the aromas of the varieties used with a persistent and complex flavour. It was produced for the first time in 1986." —winemaker
"Red coloured wine, with average depth, showing signs of evolution; good aromatic richness with noticeable aromatic progress of floral notes of violet and red berries, a hint of green pepper, provided by one of the varieties in the blend, leads to a spicy aromatic finish. Medium to fully-bodied wine, expertly framed by well-developed tannins, combined with good acidity and ripe fruit; delivers a delicate, sharp finish." —winemaker
"Clear ruby color. Aromas of ripe red berry fruits with dry vegetable notes, complex and subtle. Fresh and elegant on the palate, good balance and structure." —winemaker
