Glenmorangie

After spending 17 years as a whiskey distiller, William Matheson left his job and sought to start his own distillery. His vision was to create an exceptional, exquisitely smooth whisky. In 1843, his vision became a reality when he took over the Morangie farm and founded Glenmorangie.

Originally 16 men, an unbroken chain of experts worked together to craft Glenmorangie through the centuries. These men passed down their knowledge and expertise of the heralded Single Malt from generation to generation. This time-honored tradition preserved the quintessential Single Malt of Scotland.

In the far north of Scotland, near the ancient Royan Burgh of Tain, lies Glenmorangie. 'The Glen of Tranquility' where malt whiskey has been distilled since it began. The distillery has an air of timelessness; the methods and craft they employ today differ little from those of their forbears.
