"This wine associates its quality to the name of the Carthusian [Cartuxos] monks who, between 1598 and 2019, led a solitary life of prayer in the Monastery of Santa Maria Scala Coeli. It is based on the most common varieties of Alentejo: Trincadeira, Aragonez, Alfrocheiro, Periquita, Moreto and Tinta Caiada. Aged in oak wood, it is a wine with good structure, elegant and combining the aromas of the varieties used with a persistent and complex flavour. Quinta de Cabriz is located between the two main rivers that cross the Dao region, the Mondego and the Dao. It is a secular "quinta" (farm) so along with a 17th century manor house there is also a chapel." —winemaker
