"Cuvée Nicolas is named after Jean-Marc and Eliane’s son and comes from a blend of Grenache grown in the red schist soils of the foothills of the Pyrenees in Asprès with Grenache from the back schist soils of Maury. These low yielding vines (19hl/ha) are around 65 years old and are planted on terraces with southern and southeastern exposure." —winemaker

"A 100% Grenache from vines averaging 65 years of age, the 2021 IGP Côtes Catalanes Nicolas (it does include 15% of the previous vintage) spent just eight months in demi-muids prior to bottling. A terrific effort for near-term consumption, it delivers subtle hints of garrigue, crushed stone and licorice, all on a bed of ripe black cherries. Full-bodied, round and expansive, framed gently by silky tannins, it finishes long and harmonious." —Wine Advocate

Butter Chardonnay

"Butter Chardonnay is rich, bold and luscious. Made in the tradition of quality Californian winemaking, the grapes we select are juicy, ripe and bursting with flavor. We cold ferment this easy-to-love Chardonnay to a lush creaminess and age it in our unique blend of oak. Butter brims with stone fruit and baked-lemon notes and has a lovely, long, vanilla finish. Simply put, it melts in your mouth!" —winemaker

"Deep and dark red. On the nose intensely aromatic, with black fruits and spices. The palate is full, round and sexy. Round and smooth tannins present through the full bodied, ample wine. Overall a complete wine, with a long finish, with elegance and finesse accompanying the abundance of fruit and well-balanced tannins." —winemaker

Lafage Bastide Miraflors Rouge 2022

53459
"A custom cuvée for European Cellars and a joint project between Eric Solomon and Jean-Marc Lafage, Bastide Miraflors is a cuvée created from old vine Grenache grown on the schist and granite soils of Saint-Paul de Fenouillet, a terroir that always ripens late in the year, and Syrah from gravelly soils near the Mediterranean. After a long maceration of six weeks, the wine ages for 12 months in roughly 3/4 concrete vats and 1/4 600L French oak demi-muids." —winemaker
