Kindzmarauli is the best wine I've ever tasted.  The first time I tried it was in Georgia and I simply fell in love.  There are 3 types of kindzmarauli on this site, I tried them all and this one is very good.  Unlike Telavi which is also very good, this has a slight tart aftertaste, very soft, so if Telavi is too light for you, I recommend Marnaveli.

"Khvanchkara is known as the 'pearl' amongst the Georgian wines and is the most popular. Khvanchkara has its longstanding reputation due to its being the favorite wine of Georgia's most notorious native son, Joseph Stalin. It was also drunk during the 1945 Yalta Conference by Franklin Roosevelt, Winston Churchill, and Joseph Stalin. Its excellent qualities have earned it two gold and four silver medals at international exhibitions. From the Khvanchkara district in Western Georgia, this wine is made from 60% Alexandrouli and 40% Mujuretuli, exhibiting a rich, red ruby color. On the nose are aromas of raspberry, cherries, and pomegranate. The palate reveals a harmonious, velvety taste with raspberry flavors. Complements all meat dishes, soft cheeses, and a full assortment of desserts." —winemaker
