"Sourced from some of the oldest low-yielding estate vines, some up to 100 years old, which produce deeply pigmented and rich Tempranillo grapes. Sandy soils with deep clay give an earthy richness and complexity to Tempranillos from this region. Vineyards are dry-farmed, without pesticides or herbicides, and are hand harvested. Aged for 15 months in French oak, this wine shows concentrated aromas of blackberry and plum, spice, leather and cedar. Rich and juicy black fruit flavors, silky texture and integrated tannins provide a lingering finish." —winemaker |

"A bold, toasty red, with rich bacon fat and smoke notes layered with flavors of blackberry tart, graphite, fig cake and herbes de Provence. Dense, chalky tannins are wrapped in the creamy flavor profile, emerging to firm the subtle, spiced finish. Best from 2023 through 2028. 500 cases made, 200 cases imported." —Wine Spectator |
