"At the time of release, this wine showed a bright crimson red colour. On the nose, aromas of sweet ripe fruit and delicate notes of smokiness. On the palate, tastes of cherry, plum and blackberries combined with gentle clean aromas of oak. Elegant mouthfeel, a full body and a fresh and fruity aftertaste. This wine still has plenty of life in it and should drink very well for the next 10-15 years." —winemaker

Blend: Tempranillo 80%, Garnacha 5%, Mazuelo and Graciano 15%

On the palate, similar aromas came through followed by layers of spiciness, a firm but velvety mouthfeel and a long clean finish. This wine is made in the “Super – Tuscan” style by adding Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes to the classical grape of Tuscany, Sangiovese. Each year we add selected wines to the blend to bring subtle complexity and richness without losing the flavor of the traditional wines of Tuscany. Grapes picked at optimum ripeness ensure a wine which expresses itself in its ripe black fruit components and full body. A true reflection of flavours which are a marriage of our soils under the Tuscan sun. For smooth body and elegance, the wine is aged in small oak barrels." —winemaker
