"Truly a benchmark reference in the Burgundy wine region, Chateau de la Maltroye is a flagship estate of the Cote de Beaune. This beautiful 18th century building, with its typical Burgundian glazed tiles, overlooks the village of Chassagne-Montrachet. Since 1940, the 15th century cellars of the estate have been the setting for the production of fantastic Burgundy wines. In 1970, the Cournut family took the reins of this lovely estate. The estate’s current owner and former aeronautical engineer Jean-Pierre Cournut aims to offer in the glass a precise and refined expression of the estate’s terroirs." —winemaker
