"This wine is 100% hand harvested Garnacha from a single plot that is all planted to goblet within the estate vineyard in the Los Chacayes IG within the Uco Valley. The nose is vibrant and perfumed showing raspberry and cranberry wrapped up in wet clay and a touch of ash. The palate is soft and round with red cherry and baking spices with a light tannin backbone. A very nuanced and layered wine." —importer |
Critical Acclaim | |||
"The 2018 Garnacha Gloria S. from Los Chacayes, Uco Valley was 50% aged in amphorae and the rest in used French barrels for 18 months. Garnet red in hue, the nose offers notes of rum cake, liqueur and red fruit including sweet and sour cherry. Skinny and tacky in the mouth, the texture is extremely terse and smooth with accomplished freshness. A light, flavorful, well-conceived profile that makes for a thirst-quenching wine." —Vinous |
