"Roc du Piere, as its name indicates, comes from the rockiest part of Domaine de Courbissac located outside the village of Cesseras in the lieu-dit of Fauzan. This site has a southeastern exposure. Brunnhilde and Reinhard consider this site their premier cru vineyard." —winemaker |
Critical Acclaim | |||
"The 2017 Minervois Roc du Pière comes from the estate's rockiest parcel, and it was aged in foudres. It's silky, elegant and medium-bodied, labeled at only 13% alcohol, an anomaly in the region. Yet it's not shy on flavor, delivering lively cherry fruit accented by hints of crushed stone and dried spices. It doesn't fit regional stereotypes, and that's part of its unique charm. It should drink well for 4-5 years." —Wine Advocate |
