"Bright, clear yellow color. Dry with a distinct aromas of citrus and flowers, combined with hints of smoke and minerals from the volcanic soil. Full-bodied, well-balanced with intense flavors and long finish." —winemaker |
Critical Acclaim | |||
"The 2020 Assyrtiko, the classic Santorini, is an unoaked monovarietal that comes in at three grams of residual sugar, 6.3 grams of total acidity and 13.6% alcohol. Only in bottle about a month when seen, this seemed in good shape. Fresh, clean and bright, this has a very different feel than the Aspa this issue, its richer and rounder sibling. It doesn't seem as concentrated, but the purity and freshness are enticing. I wouldn't be surprised if this ages better than I expect, but this is one I would prefer to drink very young while it is exuberant." —Wine Advocate |
