"Les Granges is a fruity, agreeable wine that should be drunk young. It is an example of easy-going and round Chinon from sandy gravelly soil." —winemaker |
Critical Acclaim | |||
"Sourced from a single block on the valley floor, where the vines have their feet in free-draining sandy/gravel soils, the 2020 Chinon Les Granges is made a lighter, fruit-driven style with a fine-grained tannic profile. This flows easily with no sense of anything being forced. It's full of bright raspberry, violets and a hint of blackberries and cream; there's a mere whiff of reduction on opening, so give it a little bit of air. Easy to like, bright and fresh and can be enjoyed in youth." —Vinous |
