"This vineyard of 1 ha is located at the very heart of the Beaune soft slope, in the southern side. The soil is more clayish here than in the northern part of the Beaune appellation. The name means that in the middle ages these vineyards were exempt from any tax. The wines show some characteristics close to the Pommard wines with strong tannins but at the same time a great elegance." —winemaker |

"Tart cherry and currant flavors are matched to a firm structure in this sleek red. Spice, earth and mineral elements chime in as this winds down, offering a long, mouthwatering finish. Best from 2022 through 2035. 500 cases imported." —Wine Spectator |
