"A blend of 91% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Petit Verdot, 2% Malbec, and splashes of Syrah, Petite Sirah, and Cabernet Franc, aged 20 months in 55% new French oak, the 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon is the largest-production cuvée by a long shot and sourced from a mix of Paso Robles sites. Cassis, assorted red fruits, violets, and cedary spice all define the bouquet, and it's medium-bodied, with a pure, layered, graceful texture, terrific tannins, and outstanding length. As with everything from this team, it's impeccably made. This is well worth seeking out, and I suspect it will have 15-plus years of prime drinking. Drink 2026-2041." —Jeb Dunnuck
"The 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon is a total pleasure on the nose, mixing dusty rose with graphite and citrus-tinged cherries. It displays silken textures and a dense core of ripe red and black fruits, while taking on a savory profile. Crisp mineral tones add a tactile crunchiness toward the close. This leaves a licorice and lavender inflection through the finish, framed by edgy tannins while maintaining freshness." —Vinous
"Black cherry, light mocha and delicate caramel aromas align on the nose of this bottling from a number of vineyards. The palate is smooth and rich yet lined with fine tannins, as flavors of blackberry, tobacco and bittersweet chocolate work in harmony. Drink now-2038." —Wine Enthusiast
