"The 2023 La Atalaya del Camino was produced with a blend of 85% Garnacha Tintorera and 15% Monastrell from 45+-year-old, dry-farmed vines fermented separately in 10,000-liter stainless steel vats and matured in French oak barrels for 12 months. This is very oaky—the oakiest of the reds here—toasty, creamy, spicy and smoky, with a core of very ripe fruit. It comes in at 14.5% alcohol, with a pH of 3.76 and 6.3 grams of acidity and tons of tannins. Will it come into balance with time in the bottle? 45,000 bottles produced.
