"The 2023 Riesling is the house's biggest production. Depending on the vintage, up to 400,000 bottles are made, blended from sites across Alsace, including grand cru fruit. The palate delivers this in spades with vivacious freshness and verve on a light, strait-laced and clean-cut bottle—the emblematic house style. "Trimbach's basic Riesling shows the producer's long experience and know-how with the grape variety. After being handpicked, the grapes were vinified in stainless steel and bottled quickly under screwcap. The wine then aged for a year in bottle before release. It's a classic expression, youthful and fresh but with a hit of petrol on the nose as the wine starts to mature and evolve. Aromatic with juicy and tangy lime zestiness, bone dry and very moreish. Very well priced too." —
