"Under Melka's own label, the entry point is the 2019 CJ Cabernet Sauvignon, which I was told is a blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Cabernet Franc and 11% Merlot, sourced from several sites around Napa Valley but primarily Soda Canyon. (Statisticians will note that the winery website claims that it's 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% each Cabernet Franc and Merlot, and 5% Petit Verdot.) The nose features gentle cedar notes overlaid on a base of dark loam, cassis and black cherries. Medium to full-bodied and framed by soft tannins, this is drinkable already, but it has enough concentration and length to suggest several years of good drinking." —Wine Advocate
