Until recently Bacardi 8 Year Old Rum had remained the special reserve of the Bacardi family. It is a premium, golden, sipping rum, made from a blend of Bacardi Rums aged between 8 and 16 years.

This prolonged ageing allows a concentration of flavours via evaporation and extended contact with charred wood, causing tannins to diffuse into the rum. This delivers a smoother and richer flavour.

The final Bacardi 8 Year Old Rum product has a deep golden colour, a complex yet well rounded aroma of prunes, apricots, vanilla and nutmeg over a clean oak base and a long expansive finish with a rounded palate.
