"Dark amber color with a slightly orange cast. Complex nose, with close, cinnamon, vanilla, orange citrus zest and butterscotch notes, and an intriguing hint of sandalwood. Sweetness of corn and spiciness from rye combine with an almost maple syrup-like flavor. Vanilla and caramel note lead to a persistent, yet subdued peppery finish." —producer
"Aromas of brown sugar, cinnamon toast, dried figs, pipe tobacco, baking chocolate, and orange peel. Flavors of sweet baking spice, cinnamon roll, caramelized sugar, dried currants, lightly roasted almonds and a hint of black licorice. Sweet with light hints of maple syrup and dark honey on the finish." —producer
"Just like Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey and Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel, Gentleman Jack is charcoal mellowed before going into the barrel. Gentleman Jack, however, receives an additional “blessing” when it is charcoal mellowed again after reaching maturity – making it the only whiskey in the world to be charcoal mellowed twice, giving it ultimate smoothness. Gentleman Jack is full-bodied with fruit and spices, and its finish is silky, warm, and pleasant. When you drink Gentleman Jack, you’ll always enjoy rich, rewarding taste." -producer
"Our Double Barrel Rye celebrates Rye Whiskey from the revolutionary war era. A blend of Straight Rye from New York and the American Heartland. Distilled from New York Rye Grain & Malted Barley, then aged to perfection in char #3 American Oak Barrels for an average age of at least three years. Bottled at 92 proof & non-chill filtered for a truly liberating experience." —producer
"Balance and complexity are made approachable and affordable in this offering created from four styles of bourbon that we marry together in small batches. The result is a slightly fruitier and surprisingly sophisticated flavor profile, finishing — as always — with a smooth, vanilla-infused elegance that demands another round." —producer
"Perfected by time, experience and true craftsmanship, George Dickel Bourbon Whisky Aged 8 Years is reflective of Cascade Hollow Distilling Co.'s commitment to honestly producing quality whisky. Aged in charred oak barrels and blended to perfection, our small-batch bourbon is handcrafted using our signature chilled charcoal filtration process for a smoother whisky." —producer
"An innovative approach to twice-barreled bourbon creates the rich and colorful flavor of Woodford Reserve Double Oaked. Uniquely matured in separate, charred oak barrels - the second barrel deeply toasted before a light charring – extracts additional amounts of soft, sweet oak character." —producer
"Full-flavored, yet remarkably easy to drink, Maker's Mark has a taste that took years to perfect. Then, we spent the next 40 years making sure that taste never changed." —producer
"Our premium 86-proof, extra-aged bourbon ages years longer in white oak barrels than original Jim Beam. It’s those extra years of aging that give Jim Beam Black its full-bodied flavor with smooth caramel and warm oak notes." —producer
"We do things a little differently around here – and that’s what gives Jack Daniel’s its distinctive character. We charcoal mellow our whiskey drop by drop, then let it age in our own handcrafted barrels. And we don’t follow a calendar. Our Tennessee Sippin’ Whiskey is ready only when our tasters say it is. We use our senses, just like Jack Daniel himself did. In fact, more than a century later, our Tennessee Whiskey is still judged the same way. By the way it looks. By the way it smells. And, of course, by the way it tastes." -producer
We are excited to introduce the fourth release from a special program graciously offered by the master distillers at the Knob Creek distillery in Clermont, Kentucky. Through their Single Barrel Select Experience, we tasted through a selection of single-barrel Knob Creek bourbons and selected our favorite, which the distillery then bottled. The result is our very own Wine Anthology bottling of a single barrel of Knob Creek bourbon! Whereas Knob Creek's normal straight bourbon whiskey bottling is a blend of whiskies from several barrels, this unique bottling comes from a single cask and shows off a different side of the signature Knob Creek style.
"TX Bourbon is made in Fort Worth from #2 yellow dent Texas corn, Texas soft red winter wheat, and a strain of wild yeast captured from a Texas pecan, called the “Brazos” strain. After aging for more than four years in charred oak barrels, TX Bourbon is smooth and sweetly spicy with caramel and dark fruit notes." —producer
"Created with choice heartland grown corn, limestone purified water, the freshest rye and barley available. Aged no less than two years in perfectly charred oak barrels, our premier whiskey boasts a warm nose and a smooth and crisp finish." —producer
"Our distillers learned the black arts of the hardest whiskey in the world to make—the famed 95% Rye—under the direct tutelage of the distiller who mastered it in Indiana, Larry Ebersold of Seagram’s. Taking Master Larry’s instruction in hand, we put a riff on it to the tune of adding 5% malted rye, a unique twist that aids in pulling additional flavors out of the rye and adds a touch of the elegance of malted rye. New Riff Rye is splendid with a splash of water, and of course folds magnificently into a classic Rye Manhattan." —producer
"A combination of two bourbon mashbills - a wheated and a ryed - and finished for six months in cabernet barrels for an unforgettable layer of complexity." —producer
"We did it. New York’s first straight rye whiskey in nearly a century, in a style all our own. Bold and spicy, with notes of citrus and honey and a bright mint finish, Do The Rye Thing is as iconic as the classic New York slice." —producer
"Matthew McConaughey and Master Distiller Eddie Russell are proud to present this rare, small-batch bourbon. Eight Year-Old Wild Turkey Bourbon is refined with Texas mesquite and oak charcoals for deeper flavor and complexity. The aroma is a balanced blend of vanilla and spices. Flavors of caramel, pear, and hints of citrus round out the palate, while the subtle, smoky finish is buttery smooth—with notes of gentle pepper and toasted oak." —producer
"The art of making fine bourbon first took place on the site of the Woodford Reserve Distillery, a National Historic Landmark, in 1812. The perfectly balanced taste of our Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is comprised of more than 200 detectable flavor notes, from bold grain and wood, to sweet aromatics, spice, and fruit & floral notes." —producer
"Blending is an art form, and our Dark Rye is your chance to own what might very well be a masterpiece. It all begins with Kentucky Rye, providing a firm foundation of spice, oak, dried fruit and subtle molasses undertones for this release to build upon. From there, Canadian Rye from our award-winning Alberta Distillery is skillfully layered in. A touch of California Port, and its complementary notes of ripe fruit, provides the third and final layer to a whiskey just as at home on the rocks as it is in a cocktail. Full in flavor, yet delicately nuanced, you’d be wise to grab a bottle of our Dark Rye to experience this magical blend for yourself." —winemaker
"Crafted in 1992 by Booker Noe as part of the Small Batch collection, Basil Hayden introduced a more subtle side of bourbon compared to its counterparts.
"This style of bourbon was inspired by 1792 whiskey pioneer Meredith Basil Hayden, Sr., a rye farmer from Maryland who moved to Kentucky and began distilling. He chose to distill his bourbon with a higher percentage of rye, and Booker set out to create a similar high-rye mash bill that would offer the same refined, approachable taste profile.
"Today, this bourbon stands as a tribute to Meredith Basil Hayden, Sr.’s high-rye mash bill ingenuity, as well as to Booker Noe, a true innovator who sought to welcome new drinkers into whiskey." —producer
